Welome to the Chelwood Gate Badminton Club website
We are a thriving and successful club of around 60 senior members currently with 15 league teams and 2 composite knock out teams playing in 3 leagues, affiliated to Kent and Sussex County leagues. We offer a variety
of playing standards to suit all abilities from improvers through to county
players. We are a designated Badminton England Premier Club and have also
been awarded Sport England’s Clubmark status. These accreditations are not easy
to come by and shows the dedication and commitment of the club.
We play in a 4 court hall at Michael Hall Steiner Waldorf
School in Forest Row (see Directions
pages). Superb facilities and plenty of parking too. Club nights
are Tuesday evenings 7.30-10.00pm from the beginning of September
until mid-May. We run a separate Summer club for those die hards through
to mid July - then we all need a rest!
We also have a hugely successful junior section run by two of
our own Level 2 coaches - Tony & Jo supported by two Level 1 assistant coaches Marc & Adele. The sessions run on Tuesday from 6.00-7.30pm check out our junior pages for more details.
We welcome visitors
to come and visit our club nights, although we would
ask you
contact us first to let us know you are coming. Visitors' fees are £5 per evening and you are welcome to come up to three occasions, at which point the Committee will tell you whether we are able to offer you club
membership.
